Spirit Week a Success at MIT

October 28, 2022

Mathew Cruz

There was ample participation in the 2022 MIT Spirit Week.  Monday’s costume was Zoom day, where students came in their pajamas.  The subtext being that when MIT went remote in 2021, that is how students spent the day.  Tuesday featured BBQ Dad and Soccer Mom where gentlemen were expected to show up with aprons, and ladies in leggings.  Wednesday was breast cancer awareness day and many students wore pink masks.  Thursday was Mini Me Day where students were expected to dress like they did when they were young.  It was perhaps due to students inability to remember what they were like when they were young that lead to low participation on this day.  This story is being published Thursday night, so a report on Friday’s Gender Swap day will be forthcoming.
